Aida Rodriguez's "edgy, raw and in your face" style of comedy has set her apart during the six years she has been entertaining audiences. As a single mom of two, she has honed and nurtured her craft, all while juggling the daily grind and stresses of family and career. Her family remains at the heart of her experience. "I don't tell jokes, I just tell my business!" she says.
Rodriguez is a regular on some of the most iconic and historic comedy stages across the country. She has also hosted and/or been featured on numerous television and radio broadcast programs, including "The Wedding Zinger," which she hosted with former "Last Comic Standing" winner Felipe Esparza, Nickelodeon's "Mom's Night Out" and "Parental Discretion." She was also featured in NuVo TV's "Stand Up and Deliver" and serves as one of the unique voices on the network's comedy series "Latina 101," alongside Edward James Olmos.
She was the first comedian in over 20 years to host the Miss California Latina Pageant, and she pursued her childhood dream - following in Bob Hope's footsteps - by performing on several USO and MWR tours all over the world. In addition to being a successful comedian, Rodriguez is also a dynamic actor, writer and producer. She has written and produced four feature films that have all secured international distribution. Among those is "The Greatest Song," one of Image Entertainment's top sellers. She is one of the stars of the dramatic award-winning web series "Illegal" and has a lead role in the feature film "Single Track," currently in production.
"Aida has something I never had when starting my stand-up career," says Arsenio Hall. "She has tremendous self-confidence! That, combined with being funny, should be lethal. Her comedy is a colorful splash in the bland world of affairs."
